Lucia Schoombee

Lucia Schoombee joined Elsevier in 2014 as the Customer Consultant for Research Intelligence in Africa. In this position, she has been responsible for implementation, support and training related to Elsevier research management services at several universities and organisations such as: University of Cape Town, University of Johannesburg, Egyptian National Scientific & Technical Information Network, American University in Cairo, African Academy of Sciences, Kenya Education Network and University of Ghana.

As a consultant she regularly advises universities on matters relating to metrics-based research assessment and she has often participated in forums related to science and measurement. Most recently, she participated in a panel at the Science Forum South Africa on the topic of STEM research in Africa.

She has a BBibl degree from Stellenbosch University and has specialized knowledge on the SciVal Suite, Scopus and Pure. She is based in Stellenbosch (South Africa).
