Description

The glabella is a craniometric point found along the midline on the anterior aspect of the cranium. It is the most anterior midline portion of the frontal bone and is located between its right and left superciliary arches.

In some individuals, a remnant of the metopic suture may be present along the glabella. The metopic suture separates the right and left halves of the frontal bone before they fuse during development.

The glabella is more pronounced in males than females.
