Agreement

The NIH(新しいタブ/ウィンドウで開く) public access policy(新しいタブ/ウィンドウで開く) requires authors to submit accepted manuscripts that arise from NIH funding to PubMed Central, immediately upon acceptance for publication, to be made publicly available after 12 months.

Elsevier and NIH have an arrangement that supports NIH-funded authors and NIH employees who publish with Elsevier to comply with NIH’s public access requirements.

Gold open access

Elsevier provides open access (OA) publishing options, which enable authors to comply with NIH’s policy. Specifically, authors can choose to publish their article in an open access journal or in one of over 1,900 established ("hybrid") journals with an open access option.

Elsevier will provide the corresponding author with a choice of two Creative Commons licenses, including the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. The Version of Record of the article will be freely available on the journal’s site immediately upon publication.

A publication fee must be paid to publish an article gold open access. Elsevier's open access publication fees range between c$150 and c$9,900 US Dollars excluding tax and are journal specific. Specific pricing information can be found on the journal homepage and our APC price list(新しいタブ/ウィンドウで開く).

Green open access

NIH-funded authors and NIH employees are required to deposit to PubMed Central (PMC), or have submitted on their behalf, their Accepted Manuscript, to appear on PMC no later than 12 months after final publication.

As a service to our authors, where the author has identified themselves as being NIH-funded or an NIH employee, Elsevier will deposit the accepted manuscript to PMC on behalf of the author, to be made publicly available after 12 months.

Authors are also able to make their accepted manuscript publicly available after 12 months, in line with Elsevier’s sharing policy. Please also review details about the terms and conditions for the use of Elsevier-published content in PMC.
