No. While many of the full-text book chapters and articles LeapSpace currently uses are published by Elsevier, there are more than 2 million open access articles from other publishers – a figure which is growing fast. LeapSpace also draws on the full corpus of abstracts in Scopus, which indexes content from more than 7,000 publishers. In addition, Elsevier is currently building partnerships with other leading academic publishers and societies to include their full-text journal content.
No. Results are ranked based on relevancy with a small boost for recency. LeapSpace always prioritizes the content that best matches your query – regardless of publisher ownership or discipline. We are currently recruiting an independent Advisory Board who will ensure LeapSpace algorithms remain publisher neutral and explainable.
LeapSpace supports transparency through linked citations, visible answer steps, and Trust Cards. These features show how AI-generated outputs align with underlying sources, helping researchers verify information and understand how results were produced.
