The pulmonary ligament is a roughly triangular extension of parietal and visceral pleura inferiorly from the hilum of the lung.
Key Features/Anatomical Relations
The parietal and visceral layers envelope the hilar structures where they form the pleural sleeve. This continues inferiorly as the pleural ligament.
