Origin

The superior peripheral venous arcade arises within the upper eyelid.

Course

The superior peripheral venous arcade extends the length of the upper eyelid, above the superior margin of the superior tarsus (Yanoff & Duker, 2013).

Tributaries

There are no named tributaries.

Structures drained

Pretarsal tissue is drained medially by the angular vein and laterally by the superficial temporal vein, which both drain into the internal jugular vein (Yanoff & Duker, 2013).
