Origin

The inferior peripheral venous arcade arises within the lower eyelid.

Course

The inferior peripheral venous arcade extends the length of the lower eyelid, sitting just below the margin of the eyelid.

Tributaries

There are no named tributaries.

Structures drained

Pretarsal tissue is drained medially by the angular vein and laterally by the superficial temporal vein, which both drain into the internal jugular vein (Yanoff & Duker, 2013).
