The middle temporal branch of middle cerebral artery (aka middle temporal artery) arises from the inferior terminal branch of the middle cerebral artery. It travels laterally, through the lateral sulcus, and then inferiorly along the lateral surface of the middle part of the temporal lobe.
It provides an arterial supply to the lateral surface of the middle part of the temporal lobe.
