Executive Summary of a report commissioned by the British Council to Elsevier

British Council Singapore commissioned a report on the research performance of selected ASEAN countries and institutional level strengths and international and UK collaboration to Elsevier's Analytical Services British Council launched the report at the 2015 Going Global conference and made available its Executive Summary. This summary focuses on the research output, growth, and impact of the selected ASEAN countries. The report drew on Scopus data.

The core findings

The summary shows the strong recent growth of Malaysia in terms of both output and impact, and reveals the disciplinary strengths of ASEAN countries and institutions. Energy is a particularly vibrant area for ASEAN, and several institutions show a strong focus on Engineering, Environmental Sciences, and Agricultural & Biological Sciences.
