Q&A on Sustainability with Paul Hodges
While great strides have been made in the areas of reusing and recycling, the effort to reduce waste can feel like fighting an uphill battle. That’s why Paul Hodges of the World Economic Forum believes that we must think bigger and transform the way in which we consume. He is confident that the chemical industry will play a significant part in radical eco-friendly innovation.
In this interview, Hodges introduces several suggestions:
- As sustainable solutions becoming an increasingly urgent necessity, it is important to focus on needs over wants
- The industry must change from being product-led to service-led
- Solutions which are not only safe and effective, but also more affordable, are in demand, especially given that we have aging population with less money
