Nianjun Yang, University of Siegen, Germany
Nianjun Yang obtained his PhD degree from the University of Fukui, Japan, in 2005. After working as a post-doctoral researcher at New Mexico State University, USA, from 2005-2006, and at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, Japan, from 2006-2008, he moved to Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Solid State Physics (IAF), Germany, and led the biosensor team during the period of 2008-2014. Since March 2014, he has been the group leader of nanomaterials at the Institute of Materials Engineering, University of Siegen, Germany. His research interests cover CVD growth of advanced carbon materials, as well as their electrochemical applications in the fields of chemical/biochemical sensing, energy storage, catalysts, and sustainable chemistry.
