Materials Today ‘Materials in Society’ Lecture
To be held at Nano Today 2017: Sunday 10 December 2017 | 08:00 – 08:45
From construction and electronics, through to energy and medicine; materials science and engineering has made significant and enduring contributions to the lives of every human being. The Materials Today ‘Materials in Society’ lecture series reveals how materials science is tackling real world issues; exploring the huge improvements the applications of research make to the way we live and work today.
Professor Linda Nazar (University of Waterloo, Canada) will present the Materials in Society lecture at Nano Today 2017.
Presentation title: Unravelling the complexities of electrochemical energy storage at the nanoscale
This year’s lecture at Nano Today 2017, is in honor of the pioneering scientist and engineer Professor Mildred Dresselhaus, who sadly passed away earlier this year.
