Jiaxing HuangJiaxing Huang is an Associate Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Northwestern University. He received his B.S. degree in Chemical Physics from University of Science and Technology of China (2000), Ph.D. in chemistry from UCLA (2004), and became a Miller Fellow at UC Berkeley before joining Northwestern in 2007. His work has been recognized by a number of awards including a Sloan Fellowship, a Guggenheim Fellowship and a JSPS Fellowship. He has also been named by Thompson Reuters as a Highly Cited Researcher. His main research interest is in the general area of material chemistry and processing. In teaching, he encourages students to develop intuition and exercise creativity.
