American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology Welcomes New Editors-in-Chief
Dr. Ingrid Nygaard and Dr. Roberto Romero appointed Editors-in-Chief of AJOG.

The American Journal of Obstetrics &
Gynecology (AJOG) today announced
with pleasure the appointment of Ingrid Nygaard MD, MS, Professor of Obstetrics
and Gynecology at the University of Utah and Roberto Romero, M.D., D.Med.Sci, Chief of the Perinatology
Research Branch and Program Head for Perinatal Research and Obstetrics of
NICHD/NIH, as the new Editors-in-Chief of AJOG.
Drs. Nygaard and Romero will replace Drs. Thomas Garite
and Moon Kim effective January 1, 2014.
Known as the "Gray Journal", AJOG has been a prestigious forum in the field of obstetrics and
gynecology for over 100 years, and introduced an innovative
print-short/electronic-long format five years ago to meet the needs of its more
than 41,000 readers worldwide. With an Impact Factor of 3.877 and an
Eigenfactor of 0.05172, AJOG is one
of the leading scientific publications in the field of obstetrics and
gynecology. AJOG is well-known for
its Reports of Major Impact and Clinical Opinions, as well as its original,
clinical and translational research, which have changed the lives of women and
families.
In their new roles, Drs. Nygaard and Romero will work to
strengthen the Journal's scholarly success.
Their vision is to grow AJOG into
a high quality and high impact journal supported by a robust multimedia online platform
with a user-friendly interface.
