Elsevier Announces Reseller Agreement with Healthcare Software Solutions

HSS to offer Elsevier’s STATdx to strengthen its radiology information systems offerings

London, December 13, 2016

Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, has entered into an exclusive reseller agreement with Healthcare Software Solutions (HSS), the largest radiology information system (RIS) vendor in the UK, to sell Elsevier’s STATdx solution, an online imaging diagnostic decision support tool, into its customer/prospect base which includes NHS Trust’s Radiology Departments within the UK.

The Elsevier agreement with HSS will see STATdx sold as a value-added proposition available via CRIS, enabling radiologists to have direct access to the most comprehensive decision support solution, STATdx, which has more than 200,000 high-quality images for reference and more than 4,300 common and 20,000 easily-sortable patient cases.

“We are delighted to work with Elsevier to extend CRIS’s capabilities,” said Graham Ridgway, Managing Director of HSS. “This showcases our continued focus to understand the daily problems faced by radiologists and tackle them by offering industry-leading solutions. STATdx complements our core product offering by adding evidence-based clinical decision support, available via CRIS, to significantly improve the reporting capabilities available to radiologists. We are excited to see firsthand the value that this new capability will bring to our end users.”

STATdx provides comprehensive, online radiology decision support to radiologists when searching for evidence-based answers to diagnose complex imaging cases, reading imaging studies in an unfamiliar specialty field, and for teaching purposes. It is recognised for its exceptional authorship; topics cover all radiology specialties and include key information such as differential lists, patient cases, image galleries, and normal imaging anatomy.

“We are excited to work with Healthcare Software Solutions (HSS), as this agreement will empower radiologists with quick access to current, credible and evidence-based information,” said Tim Hawkins, Managing Director, Clinical Solutions EMEALA at Elsevier. “Clinical decision support solutions such as STATdx can provide greater ease and efficiency to the diagnostic process. On top of that, the wealth of information will facilitate more confident diagnostic decisions, reduce medical errors and costs, and enhance efficiency, leading to better health outcomes whilst providing an enriched content platform. We selected HSS based on its extensive coverage of the health sector and direct relationships with radiologists.”
