Origin

The medial nasal branches of the anterior ethmoidal nerve are branches of the anterior ethmoidal nerve that originate in the superior aspect of the nasal cavity.

Course

The medial nasal branches of the anterior ethmoidal nerve run medially from the superior aspect of the nasal cavity just distal to where the anterior ethmoidal nerve penetrates the ethmoid bone to enter the nasal cavity. They reach the nasal septum and run down the anterior surface of the nasal septum, first along the perpendicular plate of the ethmoid bone and then the septal cartilage.

Branches

There are no named branches.

Supplied Structures

The medial nasal branches of the anterior ethmoidal nerve are sensory branches. They convey general sensation from the mucosa of the anterior nasal septum.
