Origin

The parietal tributaries of the superficial temporal vein arise as a plexus of small veins overlying the parietal bone.

Course

The parietal tributaries descend over the temporal region and unites with the frontal tributaries to form the superficial temporal vein.

Tributaries

There are no named tributaries; however, the parietal ramifications may anastomose posteriorly with the posterior auricular and occipital veins.
