Related parts of the anatomy
Origin
The anterior segmental medullary veins originating at the lateral aspect of the anterior spinal veins.
Course
The anterior segmental medullary veins pass laterally in the subarachnoid space towards the intervertebral foramen where it meets the posterior segmental medullary vein and drains into the intervertebral vein.
Tributaries
The anterior segmental medullary veins receive the anterior spinal veins and the network formed between these vessels.
Structures Drained
The anterior segmental medullary veins drain the ventral spinal cord and the subarachnoid space.
