Fast publication in Earth and Planetary Sciences
Elsevier aims to offer you the fastest possible speed of publication, without compromising on the quality of our peer-review process. This is a promise the editorial and publishing teams work hard to keep. Every year we aim to improve the publication speed. It’s just one of the many reasons you should submit your research to one of Elsevier’s Earth and Planetary Science journals.
Current review and production time averages for a selection of our Earth and Planetary Sciences journals are highlighted below:
- First Decision: Average speed from submission until the first editorial decision (accept, reject, revise).
- Review Speed: Average speed from submission until final editorial decision, this includes 'First Decision'.
- First Online: Average speed from editorial acceptance to the final manuscript citable online with a DOI (Digital Object Identifier). Assigning Volume, Issue and page information will take longer.
The numbers used are from January – December 2014.
