With more than 25 years of themed entertainment experience, Hallenbeck has held a variety of leadership positions in the global attractions industry. Prior to joining IAAPA in 2018, he served as managing director of project development at Hershey Entertainment & Resorts. He also served as vice president of revenue operations at Dubai Parks and Resorts, and senior vice president of attractions for Universal Studios Singapore, Southeast Asia Aquarium, Adventure Cove, and Dolphin Island located within Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore. Hallenbeck spent more than 17 years in various capacities at Universal Parks & Resorts in Orlando, Hollywood, and Osaka, Japan. Prior to relocating to Singapore, he held the position of director of attractions operations for Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure in Orlando.
Hallenbeck has served as chair of the IAAPA Education Sub-Committee for the Asia Pacific region and has been a member of IAAPA’s Asia Pacific Regional Advisory Committee. He has chaired the Theme Park Advisory Board at Rosen College of Hospitality Management and served on the Hospitality Management Advisory Board for Republic Polytechnic in Singapore. Hallenbeck is also a long-standing ASTM International member.

He is also the founding dean of the college, and served in that role for more than 15 years ago, until his return to faculty in 2018. Professor Pizam is widely known in the field of Hospitality and Tourism Management and has conducted research projects, lectured, and served as a consultant in more than 30 countries. He has held various academic positions, in the U.S.A, U.K., France, Austria, Australia, New-Zealand, Singapore, Israel and Switzerland, has authored more than 160 scientific publications and ten books, is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Hospitality Management and serves on the editorial boards of 20 academic journals. Sherry started her career in senior living in 1985 as Director of Dining Services and later served as a Regional Dining Director for Forum Group, Inc. which was acquired by Marriott Senior Living Services. Sherry became an Executive Director in 2001 with Marriott Senior Living Services. The community was acquired by Sunrise Senior Living in 2003 and Sherry continued in the role of Executive Director until accepting the position of Regional Director of Operations for Sunrise Senior Living in 2005.
In 2012, Sherry was promoted to Senior Director of Operations overseeing a variety of Sunrise communities with services ranging from independent living to assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing.
Sherry received her A.S. and B.S. in Nutritional Science from Eastern Kentucky University and her M.S. in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Kentucky. She is a Registered Dietitian and a Licensed Skilled Nursing Home Administrator. Sherry has been married to her husband, Kirk, since 1988 and they recently moved from Lexington, Kentucky to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. They enjoy golf, family time and are active in their church.

Dr. Youcheng Wang is the Dean and preeminent chair professor in destination marketing at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management at University of Central Florida. His research and consulting interest focus on hospitality marketing and management, destination marketing and management, customer relationship management, information search behavior, collaborative strategies, and technology management. He is the author of four books and more than 150 scientific publications. He is the co-editor of Journal of Destination Marketing and Management and is on the Editorial Board of multiple international academic journals in the domain of hospitality and tourism marketing and management. Dr. Wang has received numerous national and international awards for his excellence in and contribution to research. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences and industry forums.

Throughout her career, Dana has served in leadership positions working to cultivate and protect Florida’s exceptional business climate and a world-class quality of life. Dana served in the Florida House from 2010 through 2016, rising to Majority Leader for the 2015 and 2016 legislative sessions. In 2016, she was elected to the Florida Senate, where she represented parts of western Hillsborough County for two years. Dana was appointed to the VISIT FLORIDA position by Governor Ron DeSantis in January of 2019. In addition to her duties as President and CEO, she is a member of the U.S. Travel Association’s Chairman’s Circle.
Dana is a sixth-generation Floridian and was born and raised in Tallahassee. She received her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Florida State University and, in pursuit of her interest in law and public policy, graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1993, and maintained a robust environmental law practice for many years. In her free time, Dana enjoys spending time in natural Florida and tarpon fishing with her husband, Matt, and two daughters, Alexandra and Carson.
