Abstract submission deadline: 30 April 2021

Abstracts are invited for oral and poster contributions within the following symposia:

  • Biohybrids biomaterials and biological materials (bioinspired and biomimetic materials, biomineralisation, biosensors, biocatalysts and biotemplates, green materials, synthetic/biopolymer hybrids, nanomedicine and advanced implants, drug delivery, tissue engineering, dynamic and living materials, active materials and robotics)
  • Functional hybrid nanomaterials, nanocomposites and their applications (sol-gel derived hybrids, functional hybrid nanoparticles and nanotubes, functional nanostructures, nanoheterostructures, selforganisation of nanoobjects, nanocomposites; glassy composites; energy, environmental and structural hybrids; applications, modern methodologies for advanced materials characterization, bionanocomposites)
  • Functional porous materials (zeolites, MOFs, COFs, mesoporous materials, foams, macrocellular solids, hierarchically structured materials, clathrates, membranes, porous polymeric systems, carbon-related functional porous materials)

A copy of the abstract template and instructions on how to complete and submit your abstract will be sent once you have registered on the abstract submission site.

Due to the extremely high interest in the conference, each participant can only make two presentations at the conference (2 posters or oral plus a poster). Please submit a maximum of 2 abstracts per potential participant.

Six reasons to present your latest research:

  1. A comprehensive and multi-stream programme offers more than 250 slots for contributed short talks providing an excellent opportunity to present your research within the oral programme.
  2. All abstracts are subject to rigorous peer review by at least two reviewers and presentation slots (oral and poster) are limited to two per author: To be accepted for presentation is a high accolade.
  3. Large author-attended poster sessions are scheduled on each day to facilitate networking and the opportunity to forge new research partnerships.
  4. A highly-regarded Best Poster Award will be given to the poster judged to be the best in each session.
  5. Present alongside some of the top names in the field: In addition to expert plenary talks, focussed featured talks by invited speakers across three symposia bring you up to speed with new developments from leading research institutes
  6. Get expert advice on best practice for article preparation at the Materials Today publishing seminar

Successfully submitted abstracts will be acknowledged with an electronic receipt including an abstract reference number, which should be quoted in all correspondence. Allow at least 2 hours for your receipt to be returned to you.

Once the paper is accepted, at least one of the authors must register for the conference and present the paper at the conference.

Abstracts of all accepted contributions will be included within the online abstract system which will be distributed to all registered conference participants.

For revisions or queries regarding papers already submitted

If you do not receive acknowledgement for your abstract submission or you wish to make any essential revisions to an abstract already submitted, please DO NOT RESUBMIT your abstract, as this may lead to duplication. Please contact the Conference Content Executive with details of any revisions or queries. Please quote your reference number if you have one.
