Local Chinese Registration Rate does not include lunch during the conference. This rate applies to those students residing in China.

Academic Rate applies to those with a full-time position in a non-commercial institute. Student Rate applies to those registered for a higher degree. Student registrations must be accompanied by a signed letter from your Supervisor attesting to student status.

Visa Information

Note that unless you hold a Chinese passport or already hold a multiple entry visa for China, you will require a visa to enter China. It is important to allow plenty of time to obtain your visa before your trip. Therefore, please ensure you start the process as early as possible.

Invitation Letters

If you require a visa to enter China, you will need an invitation letter. To request a letter please complete this form (PDF) / form (Word) and email to: The deadline for forms to be received is: Wednesday 28th March.

Fudan University are kindly assisting with invitation letters for delegates wishing to attend the conference. Note that letters will be sent to delegates on Thursday 19th April 2018 via email.

The registration fee includes:

  • Access to conference sessions
  • Full conference materials including a program booklet and access to the online abstract system
  • Welcome drinks reception
  • Mid-session refreshments and lunch as scheduled in the conference program

Please be advised that your registration fee does not include travel insurance, please ensure that you have your own insurance policy before travelling.

Cancellation information

Substitutions may be made at any time but please advise the Conference Project Lead of a change of name. If you find it necessary to cancel the registration completely, please notify the Conference Project Lead (Please do not email credit card information under any circumstances) immediately. Provided written notice is received by April 27th 2018, a full refund will be given less a 10% administration charge. Provided written notice is received by May 11th, 2018, a 50% refund will be given. Please note, registrations cancelled after May 11th, 2018 or for no-shows at the conference, the full fee (100% cancellation charges) will be payable.

In the unlikely event that Elsevier shall deem it necessary to cancel the conference, all pre-paid registration fees will be reimbursed. Elsevier shall not be liable for reimbursing the cost of travel or accommodation arrangements made by individual delegates.
