How to mitigate spoof attacks. In this third wave of biometric evolution there is a very strong push from the consumer side demanding a faster, more convenient and secure way of authentication using mobile devices. Taking into consideration the new European requirements for payments, as defined in the EU directive PSD II and the ISO standard 29115, an authentication process triggered by facial recognition with liveness detection represents a robust solution to reduce spoof attacks considerably. We will show and discuss how?
