We strive to empower everyone, by ensuring our conferences and associated events are accessible and easy to attend for all.

Elsevier’s commitment to accessibility is embedded across the Group and advances our diversity and inclusion vision. We embrace accessibility as a driver of innovation. You can find more information about our product accessibility commitment here. Accessibility supports different ways of learning and interacting, and makes experiences easier and more efficient for everyone.

The Elsevier Conference team is committed to ensuring our events and associated services are accessible and easy to use by everyone, including people who may experience disabilities and or long-term health conditions.

We strive to ensure that our products meet and exceed the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Version 2.1 level AA and future revisions.

Our accessibility guidelines:

We:

  • Enable conference accessibility and usability through communication and by incorporating accessibility requirements from the start when we research our venues for events

  • Design around users - continually test and incorporate event feedback, particularly from people with disabilities, to ensure an optimal delegate. presenter/exhibitor and or sponsor experience at all at our conferences

  • Educate employees on accessibility and disability and its importance to our users and our business

  • Advance accessibility knowledge by learning from customer needs and experiences and in collaboration with our venues.

  • Make it easy for collaborators and delegates to quickly and openly communicate with us about the accessibility compliance of our conferences

  • Maintain an Accessibility Working Group comprised of colleagues from our business units to share best practice and foster collaboration and innovation
