Your submission should be in the form of text, no more than 300 words long. If your abstract is accepted, it will be included in the conference app with abstract and program information.
All abstracts will be reviewed by the Committee to ensure that the topic of the submission is consistent with the scope of the topics covered at the meeting.
A condition of submission is that, if accepted, at least one of the authors must register for and present at the conference.
You can submit as many abstracts to the conference for review as you would like.
If, after the review by the committee, you have more than one paper accepted for the conference, you will need to register to attend and pay an additional paper fee for each additional paper (i.e., for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th papers – not the 1st). Please note this is for papers that you are the presenting author of, not papers that you are co-author of.
Successfully submitted abstracts will be acknowledged with an electronic receipt including an abstract reference number, which should be quoted in all correspondence. Allow at least 2 hours for your receipt to be returned to you. Please check spam/junk folders as this may sometimes get filtered there.
Early Abstract Notification Requests
If you are attending the conference from a country that requires a US visa and would like early abstract notification to start the visa application process, please contact: [email protected] opens in new tab/window (please do not email credit card information under any circumstances).
For queries regarding papers already submitted
If you do not receive acknowledgement for your abstract submission, DO NOT RESUBMIT your abstract, as this may lead to duplication.
Please email queries to the Conference Content Executive opens in new tab/window (do not email credit card information under any circumstances). Quote your reference number if you have one.
Field trip to The Arizona Center for Algae Technology and Innovation, or AzCATI
Delegates are invited to participate in a visit to AzCATI on Sunday 15 June, 8.30am – 1.00pm approximately. Please book your place via the registration system opens in new tab/window.
The Arizona Center for Algae Technology and Innovation opens in new tab/window, or AzCATI, established in 2010 on ASU’s Polytechnic Campus in Mesa, is a leading testbed and research facility for algae innovation and is part of the Fulton Schools of Engineering.
Our vision is for algae technology to make major contributions within the food-energy-water nexus to producing renewable fuels, food, feed and higher value products while performing environmental services in the form of treatment technologies for various carbon and nutrient rich waste streams. All in support of the circular economy and a more sustainable future for society
AzCATI’s mission is to serve as a national algae testbed to accelerate the advancement of algae technology development and commercialization through innovative research, education, and collaboration.
As part of the International Conference on Algal Biomass, Biofuels and Bioproducts (AlgalBBB 2025), we are offering the opportunity to tour the Arizona Center for Algae Technology and Innovation (AzCATI) research and development testbed in Mesa, AZ.
The tour will include visiting AzCATI’s state of the art laboratory and five-acre outdoor testbed with greenhouses.
There will be active cultivation experiments from several liter scale up to 20,000 L scale in multiple cultivation configurations from open ponds to closed photobioreactors to attached growth systems.
The tour will include ample opportunities for questions and discussion with faculty and staff on specific research capabilities, research interests and equipment.
Once on site at AzCATI, the tour is expected to last approximately 2 hours. Note that weather in Mesa, AZ in mid-June can be warm and sunny and a good portion of the tour will be outdoors. Please wear closed toe shoes (no heals) as the site has grating and potential trip hazards. Taking photographs is welcome and encouraged.
Conference Dinner
The Algal BBB 2025 conference dinner will take place in the Showcase room at the Tempe Farmers market. The dinner includes: return transportation from the conference venue, a welcome drink and a 3 course buffet dinner with wine.
Tickets are $85 and are bookable via the registration system.
