Join us in South Sulawesi as we explore how institutions can strengthen research quality, visibility, and collaboration - while upholding research integrity, responsible AI practices, and trusted scholarly knowledge in an evolving research landscape
Eastern Indonesia is home to rich biodiversity, dynamic communities, and a growing network of research institutions whose work is increasingly shaping solutions to both regional and global challenges. From marine ecosystems and environmental sustainability to community development and climate resilience, research from the region plays a vital role in advancing knowledge that supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Co-organized by Elsevier and Universitas Hasanuddin, the Elsevier East Indonesia Higher Education Research Forum brings together university leaders, researchers, librarians, and policymakers to explore how institutions can elevate locally driven research onto the global stage. Anchored on the theme Local Excellence to Global Impact, the forum will examine how institutions can strengthen research quality, visibility, and collaboration—while upholding research integrity, responsible AI practices, and trusted scholarly knowledge in an evolving research landscape. Through shared insights and dialogue, the event aims to support universities in translating local research strengths into meaningful global impact.
