Elsevier Scopus Awards Romania 2015

The Scopus Awards - brought for the first time to Romania - recognize outstanding research institutions and scientific journals for their research excellence. Elsevier, a world-leading provider of information solutions and scientific publishing house announced during the event held on 29th October the winners of inaugural Scopus Awards Romania 2015.
Winners of the Scopus Awards Romania 2015 are:
Research Excellence Award
Horia Holubei National Institue of Physics and Nuclear Engineering
The award was handed over to Dr. Maria Dinescu, Chief of Library, Dissemination and PR, by Endre Béky, Elsevier Regional Director of Eastern Europe & Russia.
Journal Excellence Award
Journal of Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases
The award was handed over to the editor-in-chief, prof. Monica Acalovschi.
The Scopus Awards are part of an Elsevier global initiative and efforts to support research and development in order to advance science across a broad range of disciplines. The Scopus Awards Romania 2015 aimed to showcase good practice in pursuing research to inspire and further motivate the Romanian research community.
The Scopus Awards were organized in collaboration with the 3rd Romanian Conference on Access to Scientific literature - The role of information infrastructures for knowledge creation, innovation and innovation systems.
