Elsevier Scopus Awards Romania 2015

The Scopus Awards - brought for the first time to Romania - recognized outstanding research institutions and scientific journals for their research excellence. Elsevier, a world-leading provider of information solutions and scientific publishing house announced during the event held on 29th October the winners of inaugural Scopus Awards Romania 2015.
The Scopus Awards are part of an Elsevier global initiative and efforts to support research and development in order to advance science across a broad range of disciplines. The Scopus Awards Romania 2015 aimed to showcase good practice in pursuing research to inspire and further motivate the Romanian research community.

Research Excellence Award
Horia Holubei National Institue of Physics and Nuclear Engineering
Research Excellence Award recognized outstanding research institutions as seen by modern bibliometric methods. To identify such institutions, Field Weighted Citation Impact was used, based on the data from Scopus database.
Journal Excellence Award
Journal of Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases
Journal Excellence Award recognized outstanding scientific journals as seen by modern bibliometric methods. To identify such journals,SNIP – Source Normalized Impact per Paper indicator was used, based on the data from Scopus database.
