Introducing the award
The Materials Science and Engineering C: Young Researcher Award recognizes research excellence in experimental and theoretical topics at the interface of the biological sciences and materials engineering by individuals who are thirty-five years old or younger.

The award recognizes research excellence in experimental and theoretical topics at the interface of the biological sciences and materials engineering.
Individuals who are thirty-five years old or younger at the time of application or are in an untenured, tenure-track position (equivalent to an assistant professor-level position in the U.S. academic system).
