Elsevier’s popular journal series, The Clinics of North America, now available online

Elsevier names Tim Griswold as Vice President of Continuity to lead effort.

Philadelphia, 14 June 2004 – Elsevier announces the fully searchable, online availability of its popular journal series, The Clinics of North America. A trusted source for clinical reviews of current diagnosis and treatment for over 100 years, the new Web presence - which can be found at TheClinics.com - is intended to meet the growing needs of today’s modern medical community.

Elsevier, a pioneer in information sharing, is creating advanced technologies to deliver research and clinical information to the desktop. To spearhead bringing The Clinics of North America online, Elsevier recently also tabbed Tim Griswold as its new Vice President of Continuity.

“I welcome the opportunity to help bring this well-established product into the next century,” stated Griswold, whose primary focus will be to explore different ways to expand The Clinics’ online presence. ”And, I look forward to transitioning The Clinics of North America from ‘old school’ hard-copy to full online access for both old and new customers.”

The Clinics of North America is a series of medical publications, some of which have been published for more than 100 years. The series provides comprehensive and precise coverage of 57 medical specialties by topic. Each issue provides concise, comprehensive coverage of a single topic, written and edited by respected experts.

The online version includes quick and easy access to specific information within many medical specialties and also includes access to MEDLINE, MD Consult and other Elsevier journals.
