Elsevier and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Algeria announce the inaugural of Algeria Scopus Awards

Amsterdam | December 1, 2022

Algeria aspires to improve its global research ranking and stimulate innovation with broader access to Elsevier’s scientific information and tools

To honor Algeria scientific research and reward the most prolific researchers in Algeria, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Elsevier, a global leader in research publishing and information analytics, are partnering on the third Algerian Scopus Awards celebration. The program and awards ceremony were held on Thursday December 1, 2022, at 2:00 PM (GMT+1) at the CERIST site.

Under the aegis the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research of Algeria, this event aims to recognize the talent and dedication of Algerian researchers.

Under the current agreement, Elsevier and CERIST provide Algerian universities and researchers with robust access to ScienceDirect, Elsevier’s full-text platform for scholarly communication, and Scopus, the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature.

The program features:

  • A discussion of the new report on the “state of Algeria scientific research,” which was developed by Elsevier

  • Presentation of the “Algeria Scopus Awards” to the winning researchers
