Senior Product Manager

Gilad Joined Elsevier in July 2016 heading the Geofacets product and team, responsible on the product strategy, roadmap and content strategy.
Gilad brings with him 10+ years of product, commercial and project management experience working at both diversified global companies and emerging software companies with a focus on successful software products’ global roll-outs for the major O&G companies. Gilad has an B.Sc. in Industrial and Management engineering from BGU University (Israel) and a Global MBA from IE Business School (Spain).

Sandra Merten

Sandra Merten

Product Manager

Sandra Merten, Geofacets Product Manager, joined Elsevier in 2010 and is responsible for the ongoing development of Geofacets. She managed the successful release of various product enhancements such as third-party publisher content modules, improved spatial discovery and the addition of more than 1 million easy-to-access figures and tables to Geofacets. She has a M.Sc. in Structural Geology and Tectonics and a Ph.D. in Geology from the VU University in Amsterdam.

John Skero

John Skero

Technical Product Manager

John Skero is a GIS expert and has studied in Earth Science and Geology. In his current role, he helps Geofacets with data integration and workflows within the petroleum industry. He worked as a Geotech for ExxonMobil for ten years, and at Woodside and EcoPetrol, as well. He specializes in integrating spatial data into key interpretation/mapping software as well as data management.

Phoebe McMellon

Director of Oil & Gas Segment Marketing / Strategic Geofacets Adviser

Phoebe joined Elsevier in 2009 and spearheaded the design, development and commercial launch of Geofacets in 2010. She has over 10 years’ experience as a geologist and completed an M.Sc. with First Class Honours in Geology from the University of Canterbury. In her latest role as Oil & Gas Segment Marketing Director, she is a strategic adviser to the Geofacets team.
