Description

The superior (upper) border is the upper margin of the ramus of ischium. It is one of the two borders of the ramus of ischium, the other being the inferior border. It separates, superiorly, the internal and external surfaces of the ramus of ischium. Its anteromedial end is continuous with the lateral border of inferior pubic ramus, while its posterolateral end is continuous with the anterior border of body of ischium.

The superior border of ramus of ischium contributes to the margin that forms the obturator foramen and provides an attachment site for the obturator membrane.
