Origin

The lateral nasal branches of the anterior ethmoidal nerve are branches of the anterior ethmoidal nerve that originate in the superior aspect of the nasal cavity.

Course

The lateral nasal branches of the anterior ethmoidal nerve emerge just distal to where the anterior ethmoidal nerve penetrates the ethmoid bone to enter the nasal cavity. They run down the superior and anterior lateral nasal wall, anterior to the nasal concha.

There are no named branches.

Supplied Structures

The lateral nasal branches of the anterior ethmoidal nerve are sensory branches. They convey general sensation from the mucosa of the superior and anterior lateral nasal wall.
