We are currently changing the display of data visualizations on ScienceDirect. As a result, 3D visualizations will not display on ScienceDirect immediately. However, you may still submit your data files and they will appear with your article once the new version is available.
About 3D neuroimaging visualizations
You can include 3D neuroimaging data visualizations in the NIfTI format with your online article on ScienceDirect. The viewer on ScienceDirect integrates a specific visualization mapper, which automatically combines a master volume of the brain with functional magnetic resonance images (fMRI).In 3D neuroimaging visualizations on ScienceDirect, users can:
Browse through available neuroimaging datasets
Zoom, rotate and pan the 3D brain reconstruction
Cut through the volume
Change opacity and color mapping
Switch between 3D and 2D projected views
Download the data
Open the viewer in detached full-screen mode
Visualizations will be published in the online version only. If you would like the print or PDF version of your article to feature images of the visualization, please include these as figures in your article. If you have concerns about your data being downloadable, please submit a video instead.
