The Freedom Collection does not contain Direct Subscription Journals. These are offered via a separate subscription model that can be added to your current ScienceDirect subscription. However, 65 Direct Subscription Journals are included with a ClinicalKey subscription.

How do researchers access the journals after I agree to a subscription?

As soon as your Direct Subscription Journals agreement is activated, researchers will have immediate access n via your institution’s ScienceDirect entitlements. Researchers will additionally have access via each journal’s website.
