Papers presented at ICoBT2018 will be considered for publication in a special issue of Biotribology. A $500 award and certificate will be presented to the best paper among all submissions. In accordance with standard procedures for the journal, all papers will be peer reviewed prior to the Editors making a final decision on suitability for publication. Papers are being admitted for review and will become available online as soon as accepted.
Original research papers, critical review articles and case studies will be solicited from scientists, engineers and clinicians working in the field. The topic of research should include a biological surface as part of the interface (e.g. articular cartilage, skin or dental enamel) or have a direct impact on biological function (e.g. prosthetic joints, dental implants). The scope of the journal will include all aspects of the tribology of bio-interfaces.
