Yong K. Chang, Advanced Biomass R&D Center, Korea
Yong Keun Chang is a professor in the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) and the director of ABC (Advanced Biomass R&D Center), which is a key microalgae-based biorefinery research center supported by the government in South Korea. He joined KAIST as a faculty member in 1988 and since then he has published over 200 peer-reviewed journal articles. He served as President of The Korean Society for Biotechnology and Bioengineering in 2012. He received B.S. from Seoul National University, M.S. from KAIST, and Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Purdue University, USA.
