Xiang-Lei Yang, The Scripps research Institute, San Diego, USA
Xiang-Lei Yang is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Physiology at The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California. Her lab studies the newly discovered and physiologically significant regulatory functions of aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases in higher organisms and in the context of human diseases. She received her Ph.D. from the Center for Biophysics and Computational Biology at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She obtained her postdoctoral training in the Department of Molecular Biology at The Scripps Research Institute. She served as a founding chair for the Gordon Research Conference “Translation Machinery in Health and Disease”.
