Renewable Energy Fundamentals

Aim & scope

The Renewable Energy Fundamentals book series publishes introductory titles on all topics related to renewable energy. The series covers all aspects of renewable energy from advanced technologies to modelling, methods, management, policies, and regulations.

Key areas covered by the Renewable Energy Fundamentals book series include solar energy and photovoltaics, wind power, bioenergy and biofuels, hydrogen and fuel cells, marine energy, geothermal energy, hydropower, as well as the technologies, models, and methods for the utilization of those resources, energy storage, hybrid energy systems, carbon neutral energy, energy efficiency and energy management, sustainability and techno-economic assessment of renewable energy technologies, and policies and regulations for renewable energy.

Renewable Energy Fundamentals

The series is targeted towards senior undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students studying the development and implementation of renewable energy and its related disciplines. The series will provide students with an in-depth understanding of the fundamental concepts, theories, and methods within Renewable Energy disciplines, and present applications alongside examples and case studies to help students apply that understanding to real-world problems. With carefully developed pedagogical content such as key learning outcomes, exercises, and worked examples in every volume, the series will support and test students abilities to understand, apply, analyse, and evaluate in order to become the leaders of a sustainable energy future.

The Renewable Energy Fundamentals Book Series commitment is to only commission content that supports and advances the energy transition and the reduction of CO2 emissions, to meet the world’s energy needs and protect our planet for future generations. The Series aims to accelerate the energy transition through the development of high-quality educational resources and fundamental references on a range of topics that will support the researchers and leaders of tomorrow.

The Renewable Energy Fundamentals Book Series is particularly interested in acquiring content that support and advance the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, in particular SDG7 (Affordable and clean energy), SDG12 (Responsible consumption and production) and SDG13 (Climate Action).

The Renewable Energy Fundamentals Book Series actively supports diversity in our author, editor, and contributor teams, and recognise the need for appropriate, inclusive, and diverse representation within our content.

If you are interested in publishing a book in the series, please contact the Series Editors, Prof. Jingzheng Ren and Prof. Chang He, and Senior Acquisitions Editor Dr. Peter Adamson, [email protected](opens in new tab/window)
