The books include Membrane Reactors for Energy Applications and Basic Chemical Production, edited by Angelo Basile, Luisa Di Paola, Faisal Hai and Vincenzo Piemonte. It provides a comprehensive discussion of the increasing interest in membrane reactors (MRs) that has emerged in recent years from both the scientific and industrial communities.

Edited by a world-renowned team of experts, Membrane Reactors for Energy Applications and Basic Chemical Production explores the potential of MRs in energy applications for increased efficiency and saving potential, and provides insights into basic chemical production. It investigates membrane reactors for syngas and hydrogen production, and examines membrane reactors for other energy applications, including biodiesel and bioethanol production. The book also reviews the use of membrane reactors in basic chemical production, including discussions of the use of MRs in ammonia production and the dehydrogenation of alkanes to alkenes.
Dr. Angelo Basile, an editor of all three new books, is a
senior researcher at the Institute on Membrane Technology (ITM) of the Italian
National Research Council (CNR). He is currently researching H2
production and CO2 capture using Pd-based membrane technology and
has edited and authored numerous books and articles on hydrogen as an energy
source. Dr. Basile is also an associate editor of Elsevier’s International Journal of Hydrogen Energy.
