Philadelphia, PA, October 26, 2015

Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, has fully integrated its Interactive Patient Education Content Library with eClinicalWorks®, a leader in ambulatory healthcare IT solutions. Elsevier’s trusted patient content is now immediately available to eClinicalWorks customers.

The Elsevier offering was showcased at the 2015 eClinicalWorks National Conference in Nashville, Tenn., Oct. 16-19.

Elsevier provides associated patient education, drug information sheets, and lab test education organized by care setting and comprised of both easy to read and standard content, available in several languages. It is designed to offer healthcare providers an optimal user experience and more streamlined clinical workflow. This content is also intended to deliver relevant, condition-specific patient information at the point-of-care and will be accessible via eClinicalWorks’ patient portal, extending the integration benefits to where patients need it most.

“Both Elsevier and eClinicalWorks share a commitment to providing relevant and trusted patient education tools and solutions that enable both providers and patients to be more engaged in improving health outcomes,” said Sonika Mathur, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Patient Engagement, Elsevier Clinical Solutions. “Our goal is to foster better decision-making and improve the patient experience with the right information at the right time.”

The Elsevier integration is available today with the V10 OPEN series and will also available with the V10 SP2 release. eClinicalWorks customers on the V10 OPEN series can upgrade to the latest release in that series to enable the integration, and those on the V10 SP1 series will be able to enable the integration with the SP2 release.
