Data to support engineering diversity initiatives: The Gender Research Report

Critical issues related to gender disparity and bias must be rigorously addressed and supported by a strong evidence base. Gender and diversity issues are challenges not only in the workplace, but also on campus, in research labs and in scientific publishing. Dr. Holly Falk-Krzesinski, Elsevier’s Vice President, Global Academic Relations and co-chair of Elsevier's Gender Working Group, will describe important global diversity initiatives and preview Elsevier’s ground-breaking Gender Research Report, with data related specifically to women in engineering.

As you will learn in the webinar, this data underlines global problems that require global solutions. Joining Dr. Falk-Krzesinski is Nita Patel, founder of the IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Conference and Systems and Software Engineering Director at L-3 Warrior Systems. Patel will highlight programs that inspire, engage and advance women in technology at the international, national and local levels to promote gender equality.

Marilynn Larkin, an award-winning science writer and editor and content development/strategy consultant to Engineering Village, will moderate the webinar.
