FINANCE JOURNALS ECOSYSTEM
We’ll help you find the right home for your research – fast
Why the finance journals ecosystem?
We are excited to share with our community of researchers and reviewers the launch of the Finance Journals Ecosystem.
8 of our journals have enhanced their existing collaboration through the Elsevier Article Transfer Service to form an ecosystem whose purpose is to ensure your paper finds its right publication outlet and to offer you a smoother process from submission to final decision.
This is how the ecosystem works at a glance
After receiving your submission to one of the journals in the ecosystem, the handling editor will evaluate whether their journal is the right publication outlet for your paper. If it is not, the editor will work with the editors of the other participating journals to see whether your paper is best suited for consideration at another journal in the ecosystem. Should this be the case, the editor of the journal where you originally submitted your paper will suggest you transfer your submission to that journal. Upon your accepting the editor’s suggestion, you do not need to resubmit your paper, instead, you go through a quick and simple article transfer process and you make use of the benefits that the ecosystem offers.

What do the editors say?
Here is what our editors have to say about their journals and the type of research they are interested in receiving.
IRFA, as a general finance journal with an international perspective, recognizes that quality work within its scope may well be found elsewhere. By being part of the ecosystem, we believe that we can more easily capture and publish these papers through our network of editors who will best identify the journal most likely to be receptive to a paper.
IREF has as its scope papers that fall across economics and finance and is especially interested in papers that draw from both disciplines. Recognizing that papers such as these might be "hard to place", we believe that being members of the Ecosystem allows the authors some comfort as to their paper being directed to the most appropriate journal.
JBEF is the world’s leading journal dedicated specifically to experimental research in finance.
We love publishing deep behavioural stories that expand our understanding of the story of finance.
The Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money: the world's leading journal on research in the empirical and theoretical analysis of international financial asset prices, cross border financial markets and institutions, and investor behaviour.
