Origin

The deep veins of the penis (or cavernous veins) are formed in the proximal third of the penis, where emissary veins unite. There are usually 2–5 deep veins (Quartey, 2006; Standring, 2020).

Course

The deep veins of the penis travel along the dorsomedial aspect of the penis, on the surface of the corpora cavernosa.

Tributaries

The dorsal veins of the penis receive emissary veins.

Structures Drained

The deep veins of the dorsal aspect of the corpora cavernosa and surrounding tissue.
