Anatomical Relations

The scaphotrapeziotrapezoidal ligament belongs to the palmar intercarpal group of ligaments, which are formed by several short fibrous bands that extend transversely across the palmar surface of the carpal bones. The scaphotrapeziotrapezoidal ligament, as the name suggests, attaches from the scaphoid to the trapezium and trapezoid.
