Tanja Gaich, University of Konstanz, Germany
Prof. Dr. Tanja Gaich studied Chemistry at the University of Vienna (Austria). She received her PhD in Chemistry from the University of Vienna under the supervision of Prof. Dr. J. Mulzer in 2009. As an post-doctoral research fellow she worked in the laboratory of Prof. Dr. P. S. Baran at the Scripps Research Institute La Jolla CA (2009-2010). In 2010, she moved to the Leibniz University Hannover to start her independent career under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. M. Kalesse, and was funded by the "Fonds der chemischen Industrie" and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation with the "Sofja Kovalevskaja prize". Since July 2015 she is a full professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Konstanz. Her research is focused on the total synthesis of bioactive natural products.
