Zhenhua Xie

University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), China

Prof. Zhenhua Xie is a faculty at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), where he leads a group on catalysis research. Prior to joining USTC at 2025, he served as Research Associate at Brookhaven National Laboratory and Associate Research Scientist at Columbia University, with a joint appointment at the Synchrotron Catalysis Consortium (SCC) in National Synchrotron Light Source II (NSLS-II). Prof. Xie has been dedicated to developing advanced catalysts, reaction strategies, and reactor engineering to transform greenhouse gas CO2 into valuable gaseous feedstocks (syngas, olefins, alkanes), liquid chemicals (aromatics, aldehydes, alcohols), and solid materials (carbon nanomaterials). By bridging fundamental science with practical applications, his group aims to contribute to sustainable chemistry and decarbonization efforts on a global scale.
