Professor Yinjie Tang is a faculty member at Washington University in St. Louis. He earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of Washington and completed postdoctoral training at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. His research integrates environmental microbiology, AI/ML, metabolic modeling, and bioprocess engineering. Professor Tang serves as Associate Editor for several biotechnology journals and advises the Predictive Phenomics Initiative at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. His honors include the NSF CAREER Award, Air Force Summer Faculty Fellowship, NSF Transition Award, and AIChE Division 15a Plenary Award. His current research is supported by DOE, NSF, NASA, and DoD.
