Ramón Castañeda-Priego

Ramón Castañeda-Priego

Ramón is a professor of Statistical Physics at the University of Guanajuato. He received his Ph.D. in Physics in 2003 from the Center of Research and Advanced Studies, Mexico, and worked as a post-doctoral fellow in physics at the University of Konstanz, Germany, before moving back to Mexico in 2004. Ramón leads the Soft Matter Theory Lab at the Physical Engineering Department. He has been working over the last twenty-five years on the thermodynamics, structural properties, transport phenomena, phase transitions, particle aggregation, effective interactions, physical gelation, dynamical arrest and (spontaneous and directed) self-assembly of many-body systems (colloids, polyelectrolytes, proteins, among others).
